General Operator (FLT – Nights Fixed Term)

Based in Belfast, we are a leading provider of environmental, animal and human health solutions and a key influencer in driving health and sustainability throughout the food chain. Devenish have 4 manufacturing sites in the UK and four in the United States, from where they supply innovative nutritional solutions and technical expertise to producers through the farm, feed and food industry in UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australasia and Latin America.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Support Manager and FLT Supervisor, this role is based in a busy production and manufacturing environment responsible for the manufacturing of products.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Work with Site Operations Management and Production Shift Manager to ensure shared responsibility for delivering all Key Production Indicators and targets
• Manually operate machinery in line with SOP and Health and Safety requirements
• Adhere to all Operating Procedures when operating machinery or FLT’s
• Adhere to Quality requirements
• Daily hygiene tasks
• Take Health, Safety and Environmental ownership of yourself, others & activities within your areas of responsibility and raising all HSE concerns you become aware of, outside your areas of responsibility, with relevant managers.

Essential Crtieria:

• Experience of FLT driving and a valid FLT licence
• Right to Work in the UK
• Previous working experience within a manufacturing / production environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• An ability to work on own initiative but also to work collaboratively with others
• Flexible and adaptable
