Logistics Coordinator

Devenish is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our global team.

Devenish Nutrition is a fast growing, innovative, international agri-food technology business, supplying innovative environmental, animal and human health solutions to the farm, feed and food industry internationally. Headquartered in Belfast, Devenish have 5 manufacturing sites in the UK and four in the United States, from where they supply innovative nutritional solutions and technical expertise to producers through the farm, feed and food industry in UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Mexico and the USA.

The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be part of the Goods In team, ensuring accuracy of all materials received into several of our facilities. You will interact with suppliers, haulers and other departments on a daily basis and be responsibility for a wide range of duties within our organisation.

Key duties include:

  • Booking in all raw materials and packaging for both Belfast and Widnes
  • Scheduling/Ordering Bulk loads (Lime Gran/Salt etc.)
  • Ordering Creep Bulks and arranging haulage (Wheat/Soya Full Fat etc.)
  • Booking in Bulk loads
  • Processing purchase orders for all raw materials production requirements
  • Ensuring bulk raw material do not stock out based on stock plan run using Crystal reports
  • Creating purchase orders and haulage for direct deliveries to customers
  • Arranging direct deliveries Salt/MCP/A-One
  • Managing A-One Account for direct deliveries
  • Charging out direct deliveries
  • Creating and processing transfers between 4 different stock holding locations
  • General office administration and paperwork
  • Dealing with delivery queries
  • Photographing damages and advising supplier
  • Dealing with invoice queries
  • Dealing with drivers, ensuring correct paperwork is issued
  • Signing out drivers by ensuring correct product/quantity has been received
  • Arranging haulage
  • Rescheduling deliveries on Navision (Mill, MT, DC, DSV and Widnes)
  • Chasing late deliveries
  • Arranging Loan paperwork and material
  • Arranging haulage for loans into/out of DC
  • Batching and Despatching customer orders

Essential Criteria:

  • A keen interest in the Supply Chain sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • An ability to work on own initiative but also to work collaboratively with others; a willingness to go the extra mile in pursuit of successful outcomes
  • A strong work ethic and proactive, problem solving attitude
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Full driving licence and access to transport
  • Computer literate with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel
  • Numerical accuracy skills and good attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under tight deadlines
  • Prepared to travel to various sites across GB, NI and RoI as required

Desirable Criteria:

  • Two years' experience with Nav
  • Two years' experience working in a warehouse environment

Salary and Benefits:

  • 37.5hr week, flexibility will be required
