Service Desk Administrator

Reporting to the IT Service desk Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a person with initiative who is looking for a new challenge that offers career and personal fulfilment. The IT Service Desk is an integral part of the company and the work done within this team ensures that the Company operates efficiently.

Key areas of responsibility and duties include:

  • Ticket Logging
    • First point of contact within the department
    • Gathering enough information to log tickets
    • Assessing priority of queries
  • First Line IT Support
    • Managing personal ticket list
    • Keeping end users up to date with progress of their tickets
    • Troubleshoot routine issues and escalate where appropriate
    • Software Installs
    • Hardware configuration and support
  • Account Management
    • Managing the onboarding & offboarding process
    • Managing general account queries
    • Management of equipment allocation
  • Procurement
    • Scoping/agreeing requirements
    • Raising purchase orders
    • Liaising with suppliers
  • Admin Support
    • Creating and maintaining IT Support documentation

Essential Criteria:

  • 1 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Work well with autonomy and as part of a team
  • Practical and logical approach to problem solving
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Be capable and prepared to travel within the UK & Ireland
  • Be prepared to be part of an on call rota
  • Perform well under pressure

Desirable Criteria:

  • 3rd level education in a relevant field
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced production driven organisation

Salary and Benefits:
