HR Graduate

Devenish Nutrition is a fast growing, innovative, international agri-food technology business, supplying innovative environmental, animal and human health solutions to the farm, feed and food industry internationally. Headquartered in Belfast, Devenish has five manufacturing sites in the UK and four in the United States, from where they supply innovative nutritional solutions and technical expertise to producers through the farm, feed and food industry in UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Mexico and the USA.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Business Partner the successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, highly organised and trustworthy. This role is fixed-term for six months. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Graduate to join an industry recognised and award-winning HR team (Irish News Awards, 2019 and NI CIPD Awards, 2020).

Duties for the role will be wide ranging, but will include:

  • Recruitment and Selection – responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process including:
    • Producing recruitment and onboarding documentation
    • Full coordination of applications and arranging interviews
  • Compliance:
    • Ensuring that current policies and procedures in relation to GDPR are being complied with across all HR activities
    • Support the preparation and collation of NI Equality reports
    • Ensuring that the correct Right to Work checks have been completed for all applicants including where applicable Settled Status for EU workers
    • Completing regular audits of the HR personnel files
  • HR System:
    • Responsible for updating the HR system on a weekly basis with new starters, leavers, employee changes, promotions and structural changes
    • First point of contact for general HR system queries
    • Producing HR reports on a weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis
    • Assisting the HR Advisor with annual system updates and changes
  • General HR Admin Support:
    • Handling highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy manner
    • Assisting the HR team in building a great place to work and promoting company values
    • Providing admin support with regards to employee relations as required
    • Assisting with various HR projects including health and wellbeing initiatives, annual events, change initiatives etc. Assisting the HR communications
    • Undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post.

  • Be flexible and adaptable

Essential Criteria:

  • A recent degree in HRM or CIPD Level 3
  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent (including Maths and English)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administration and excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages
  • Good attendance, timekeeping & disciplinary record
  • Full driving licence and access to transport
