Training Coordinator

Devenish Nutrition is a fast growing, innovative, international agri-food technology business, supplying innovative environmental, animal and human health solutions to the farm, feed and food industry internationally. Headquartered in Belfast, Devenish have 5 manufacturing sites in the UK and four in the United States, from where they supply innovative nutritional solutions and technical expertise to producers through the farm, feed and food industry in UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Mexico and the USA.

The Role

Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager the successful candidate will provide systematic, high quality training for new and existing employees to support business needs. This role will be responsible for the training compliance across the Devenish North West Europe Division (NWE).

Training Compliance Responsibilities include:

  • Organise, develop and create employee training aids/manuals, Standard Operating Procedure to ensure H&S and Quality compliance
  • Liaise with Site / Shift Managers, Supervisors to ensure teams are fully trained and competent in all relevant training (SOP's, mandatory compliance training etc)
  • Track, monitor and report on training outcomes and advise when mandatory refresher training is required

Training Coordination:

  • Assist with coordinating training events and schedule participants in to training programs (internal and external)
  • Assist L&D Manager with organisation of learning programs and support as required
  • Coordinate / deliver employee inductions
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on training material and methodology
  • Liaise with HR to plan and organise training on the company's policies and procedures
  • Administration of Learning Module System for employees and create online training material
  • Communicate training opportunities to employees in line with business requirements and needs

The right candidate for this role will:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a similar role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externally
  • Good IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Packages
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with respect to employee data and information
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to show initiative, work on their own and as part of a team
  • Initiate and drive change and improvement to deliver results
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer focus led approach for internal customers (employees, management team, HR colleagues) and external customers and suppliers (agencies, training companies)
  • Be flexible and adaptable and be prepared to travel to various sites across the NWE Division as required
  • Full driving licence with access to a car

Desirable criteria

  • Level 3 CIPD Certificate in L&D
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
