Devenish increases European presence with appointment of new County Manager for Spain

Global agri technology company Devenish has bolstered its business operations in Europe with the appointment of Maria Pons as Country Manager for Spain.

Headquartered in the UK, Devenish is recognised as a leading provider of animal nutrition solutions including premix and feed additives that are designed to improve both animal and human health. In recent years, the company has become a key influencer in driving health and sustainability throughout the food chain in response to the growing consumer demand for safe, nutritious food.

Supported by the wider Devenish team including technical and product specialists, Maria will be responsible for growing the business and managing key accounts in Spain.

With a Masters Degree in International Animal Nutrition from the University of Zaragoza, Maria is a specialist in pig, poultry, and ruminant nutrition. She has extensive experience in formulating diets for pigs, and in-depth knowledge in the operation of performance farms and data analytics.

Speaking about the appointment, Ian Atterbury, Managing Director of Devenish Nutrition International said: "Spain is the leading pig producer in Europe, making up approximately a quarter of the European herd. It is a key focus area for us and I'm very pleased to welcome Maria to the team.
